Job Description
Machinist-Tool Maker
1st shift Monday –Friday

We are now seeking Machinist-Tool Maker in Athol, MA for a well-known area company that is experiencing growth. New employees will be trained by knowledgeable supervisors on various tasks.

Candidates will be responsible for:
• following engineering drawings to measure and mark out the design for the tool
• Assembling, fitting and repairing tools
• using hand equipment such as files and grinders, micrometers and linear meters
• difficult machine and bench operation requiring skill and thorough knowledge of gage making practices
• Able to measure thickness, diameter, angles, and depths
• Ensure work area is kept clean and orderly and follow safety guidelines
• Communicate issues to supervisors as necessary
These positions are available in Shirley, MA

1st shift Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm with some overtime as needed
Pay rate is negotiable depending on experience but in the rage of $18-$22


Job Requirements
Qualified Candidates will:
• Good hand eye coordination
• Show a track record of reliability in their work history.
• Be able to communicate in English (written and verbal)
• Work on their feet for the duration of their shift and lift and bend (lifting up to 50 lbs).
• Have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in tool making
• Forklift experience is a plus
