Job Description

What you need to know

  • Monday-Friday; 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • Hourly Pay Range Starts at $17.68/hourly, DOE
  • SEASONAL April through November every year with potential opportunity to continue full-time non-seasonal, no telecommuting.
  • Located in Bellemont, AZ

What you’ll be doing

This position plays a vital role in maintaining healthy wildlife populations, reducing the refugee effect on training lands, and ensuring compliance with the Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan (INRMP). The position offers valuable experience in wildlife management, administrative tasks, and customer service, with the potential to transition into a full-time Environmental Administrative Officer role.

You will be responsible for…

  • Assist with hunter registration and documentation processes
  • Report and record wood harvesting activities
  • Update and maintain the hunting program website
  • Collect and manage hunting fees
  • Support security personnel with hunter check-in and check-out procedures

What skills & experience you’ll bring to us

  • Minimum of 1-year experience in an administrative or customer service role involving funds/money handling (preferred)
  • Knowledge of administrative tasks and proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and internet browsers
  • Experience with bookkeeping practices is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and stay highly organized
  • Ability to manage and track funds accurately
  • Interest or background in wildlife, forestry, or biology (preferred)
  • Must pass a background check
  • Valid Arizona Driver’s License required
