What you need to know 

• Hourly Pay Range $22.00
• Monday-Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., 5-hour days/20 hours per week
• Full Time, Temporary 6-Month Assignment 
• Located in Downtown Mesa 
• Benefits Available – Medical, Dental, Vision

What you’ll be doing

You will be installing air conditioning units in residential settings, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

You will be responsible for... 

• Public contact in person, by phone and through email.
• Work with residents, city employees, vendors and non-profit organizations.
• Complete forms and applications for a special summer heat safety program to determine eligibility and qualifications.
• Data entry using Microsoft including Word, Excel, Forms, Outlook.
• Schedule residents for air conditioner equipment pick up or delivery and installation.
• Lift bulky items weighing up to 50 pounds, carrying from inside/outside of building and resident homes, including stairs.
• Install portable air conditioning units and/or troubleshoot air condition units to operate correctly.
• Work in extreme weather conditions including heat, sun and possible rain.
• Other program support tasks as directed. 

What skills & experience you’ll bring to us

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. 
• Considerable experience installing portable air conditioning units and troubleshooting with an understanding of installation method.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Ability to lift equipment up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions. 
• Experience with personal computer (PC) software applications (ex. Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must have a valid Class D Arizona Driver's License.
